CIP Opportunity!

SH103 is organizing a Leadership Camp for the student leaders of Zhenghua Primary and they need facilitators.

On 6th March 2009, Friday, at 4.30pm, a bus will take the facilitators, to Zhenghua Primary where the will lead in a Night Trek. This should end at 10pm and there will be transport back to NJC.

Oh 7th March 2009, Saturday, activities are in two sessions. The first starts at 7.30am and ends at 12pm and the next, is from 12 to 5.

This is an opportunity for you to work with your seniors and participate in CIP at
NJC :)

I have told them very nice things about you and they look forward to working with you.

IS1102A: Read on up the notes given after the Socratic Seminar. Test upcoming.

IS1102B: Complete the entire worksheet on Temperature.

IS1103: Test upcoming.

MA1101: Curve Sketching worksheet, complete pages 7-12.

HCL: Complete the activity on '生日礼物' and a 选词添空 somewhere at the back of the booklet.

MI1101: Another reminder to complete both the individual and group assignment by the 25th of Feb.

IH1101: Another reminder to complete the spices project by the 25th of Feb. Not forgetting the commodities project, which is due at a later date.

SPIRE: Project report thingamajig? I'm not really sure but just do what you deem necessary.

I'm really tired. But I feel that the following has to be said sooner or later.

Ms. Selva is right. Our class is really unbonded. I just hope that everyone will forget the unhappiness caused by the Socratic Seminar last friday, and maybe we could organise some outings after assessment week? Or something along those lines that would help to increase our friendship and sense of [brother / sister]hood-liness. I'll just apologise to everyone who's unhappy because of the so-called "dominance" during the seminar, on the behalf of the guilty parties (and perhaps myself), and hopefully this will be a learning experience and an eye-opener to the current situation in class.

I've heard other classes's seminars being really successful, where everyone helped each other and they actually learnt something out of the entire assessment. Perhaps our class people are too conscious about grades and marks? Meanwhile, we should just put this mindset aside.

So, let's move on together as a class?

Recently, the class fund purchased a stack of quality photo paper to print all of our heads for our class deco poster (the one with the choochoo train with all our smiling faces) The photo paper came in a stack of 20 but only 5 were used. So, in other words, we have a remainder of 15 A4 photo paper left.

Hello.

There's a lot of (chem) homework this weekend - and hell load of projects. It's time to cancle "slack" off your weekend plans. Well, to get it over with, they are as follows:

IS1102B: Physics worksheet on the Ideal Gas Model (a few pages).

IS1102A: A whole ton of worksheets which will probably be updated later (don't count on it). Also, do preparations for the Socratic Seminar on the 20th.

MI1101: Individual project and group video project - this one is horribly stressful. Due 25th February so start working on it now!

IH1101: Two projects, one on the spice of your choice, the other on a commodity on your choice. The spice project's due on the 25th; I'm not really sure about the commodity one.

HCL: Informal letter.

I have a feeling that I missed out a lot of stuff - yes, I'm paranoid. So do help with the list. Thank you.

Blogskin

Hello.

I've uploaded a new blogskin, and the codes were rather rushed.. It's more Livejournal-ish, and it looks pretty good IMO (who wouldn't say their work is good), so I hope you guys like it too. Initially I had intended for it to be a brighter skin (as contrast to the previous two grey-themed ones), but it turned out this way and I'm totally loving the tessellate! Anyway, BGM(s) will be added soon, by demand. Currently being considered are 'Love Story' by Taylor Swift and the OST of the Phantom of the Opera.

In case you weren't observant enough (change blindness, heh), the beaver on the right-hand side of the entry is different from the one that used to stare at you with those fixated red eyes. This one looks kinda dead, which pretty much reflects (most of) our moods.

Once again, I would like to appeal to all of you that we take a class photo together. Then I could put it somewhere on the blog for people to deface.. I mean, admire. We could possibly take it in class? Or somewhere you like, whatever your preference.

I'm prepared to see my super unglam face on Denise's work. Sorry for being a spoilsport in class today. Smile!

.. Is unfortunately, the only thing that can push you forward to work harder. Gambate for the remaining 3 days of the week, and don't go crazy (coughcough).

Also to those who have failed the graded assignment for MI1101, just work harder next time I guess - don't worry, I failed too.

Yes it's this time of the week again - weekends! The time we are supposed to have fun in the sun, go out, enjoy our youth, bond with our family, whatever you like and however you want to put it.

But no, we are forced to stay at home doing homework. In fact, it's about to rain - talk about irony. Anyway, here's you homework list:

LA1101: Complete a composition about a topic while you should have copied down?

MA1101: For those who haven't completed the Congruency/Similarity worksheet (or had done it in the worksheet itself), complete/re-copy it onto your writing pad (7 questions in total, including parts).

MA1102: Linear Inequalities worksheet tutorial questions.

IS1102: Physics worksheet on diffusion (7 questions in total, including parts). Chem worksheet on orbitals and electronic configuration.

HCL: Composition (2 topics). Ting Xie on monday, on CHAPTER TWO words. NOT 梦痕! Sorry for the wrong info!

IH1101: Group project on spices. Due on the 25th of February.

Anyway, I think some other homework has been left out. Apologies. Also, examinations are drawing nearer and nearer and I'm feeling really stressed out - you should too I guess. Good luck.

This is just an advise I hope all of you would heed. Please, please have a title for each and every single post you make, and sign of with your name after each entry! I hope that this would make the blog more organised and eliminates any identity crisis. I don't wish to have to give a title to every of your posts. Also, try not to post 354826396 times a day, ok? Consolidate all your posts into one single entry.

And as far as possible, do try to resize any overly-large pictures you wish to upload onto the blog. I don't mind resizing it for you if you really are an IT idiot but please make my life easier.

4. IS1102: Deflection of Particles in Electric Fields, complete the entire worksheet (5 questions in total, including parts). Atomic Structure Revision Exercise, complete the entire worksheet (3 questions in total, including parts). Isotopes Under Investigation, research on your assigned Isotope element.
